Yellow hair.. No more! Brassy to Ashy....

Gone the days where we rarely used toners on highlights or bleached hair, or silver shampoo to get rid of the awful yellow tones that would creep up on us a few weeks after having our hair done. Being a hairdresser myself i've definitely noticed a massive change in blondes in the last year or so and i love it. For me there is nothing worse than Brassy hair. i fully cant stand it. There is not one client i have that has bleach on their hair that doesn't have toner or silver shampoo at the basin anymore. And that doesn't mean i don't lift the blonde to its cleanest potential, obviously i do. But i really believe it makes all the difference.
Now here is my advise to you all. Ash blonde is HIGH maintenance and you need to look after it. No using Head and shoulders or Tresemme, Aussie etc etc. I will go into more Detail on what shampoo and conditioners look after your hair a little later. But honestly looking after it is vital or it will just turn dull and brassy in no time. So... i will explain first what i have done to my hair as i always get questions about mine. I literally have one colour... i used to have just bleach highlights all in foils but lots and lots of them. Ive now just got Bleach on my scalp (only recommended to have this done in Salon) and then i have a toner put on for around 15 to 20 minutes after its rinced off. But same applys for foils.. i will always use a toner like i said previously. So what i recommend for everyone who wants to maintain this kind of colour you HAVE to wash it with silver shampoo once a week to keep on top of it. The best one's i use for this are.....
  • Tigi Catwalk - Fashionista Voilet Shampoo and Conditioner
  • Schwarzkopf Silver Shampoo
I usually then get my hair coloured every 6 weeks so it doesn't get too rooty. To keep your hair healthy i would recommend using Organic natural cocunut oil on the mid lengths and ends once a week, wrap it up in a towel or a shower cap and wash it out the next morning :)

The shampoo and conditioners i would use on my hair day to day would be...
  • Kerastase - Shampoo - Bain de force and Conditioner - Ciment Anti Usure
  • Shu Uemura - Art of hair silk Bloom shampoo and conditioner
Both of those Hair products are designed specifically for Damaged hair so only use these if your haven bleach etc. I will soon be doing videos for anyone who would prefer to see in detail on what and how i use these products.
Any other questions feel free to comment below and ask.
